Special edition this year of the Amiki Miei event: 100 Lancia Deltas parade at the Auto Show Torino 2024 on September 15. Mafra supports the celebration of Biasion, the two-time world rally champion
Every two years Miki Biasion, brand ambassador Mafra, he calls his closest friends, or rather his Amiki, as he likes to call them, to a gathering. And they show up on time for the appointment, christened Amiki Miei, with their magnificent racing Lancias. A joy for all fans of these cars, which have written many of the most beautiful pages of rally history. This year, for the first time, the appointment is in Turin, Sunday, September 15, in conjunction with the reborn Auto Show.
Three days of celebration at the Turin Auto Show
Amiki Miei 2024 is part of the program of the Turin Auto Show, scheduled from September 13 to 15. A Salon that is presented as an open-air stroll, free to the public, with hundreds of cars on display between Piazza Carlo Felice, Piazza Castello, Piazzetta Reale and the Royal Gardens.
The program of the three-day event is intense and interesting. In fact, more than forty automotive brands are present, plus private collections, spaces of companies, and areas reserved for the creations of the great Italian design studios, such as Pininfarina, Italdesign, and Bertone.
Visitors are also offered the opportunity to test drive various models from participating automakers.
In this dynamic context, Mafra is present with its own stand, at which it is possible to find and purchase the best car care products, benefiting from the advice that Mafra experts can offer.
But that's not all, because we at Mafra bring all our experience and 100% made-in-Italy technology to the Turin Auto Show, offering fans hands-on car care demonstrations as well.
Delta queen of the show
Parades of cars of various kinds, including old Formula 1 cars, are planned at the Turin Auto Show , but the Lancia Delta parade by Amiki Miei, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 15, stands out among them all.
Mafra offers participants its valuable Welcome Kit, containing some of the best products for car care.
- Waterless is Mafra's innovative product that makes it possible to wash all the external parts of the car without using water: it allows, therefore, to intervene in any situation, even during an event.
- Heavy Work is, on the other hand, the Mafra microfiber cloth, which can be used both to dry the bodywork on the outside and to remove dirt from the surfaces of the passenger compartment on the inside.
What a spectacle 100 racing spears!
The program for Amiki Miei includes the arrival, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., at C.L.N. Square in Turin of the cars, which then pass through San Carlo Square and are displayed on Via Roma.
Imagine what a sight it would be to see 100 Lancia Delta racing cars all together, with a really important sporting history!
Among the 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. the participants of Amiki Miei have the opportunity to visit in turn the Car Show, but the highlight for the audience comes at the 11.30. It is, in fact, the time when the delta procession starts from Via Roma, parades in Castello Square and heads to theHeritage Hub of Plava Street.
TheHeritage Hub houses, in the spaces of the former Workshop 81 of the Mirafiori factory, the official Stellantis collection of cars produced by Fiat, Lancia and Abarth. It is also home to the restoration and certification atelier for historic cars from those brands, and there is a selection of Alfa Romeo, Autobianchi and Jeep.
After a welcome drink and lunch, Amiki Miei participants have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Hub, discovering gems such as the Delta in which Miki won the extremely tough Safari Rally and meeting the protagonists of the era, such as engineers Claudio Lombardi and Sergio Limone.
We at Mafra are also alongside Miki Biasion, our ambassador, in this beautiful event, which ends at 4:30 p.m. with a goodbye toast to the2026 edition of Amiki Miei.

A great champion
Let us, now, take a small step back. Miki Biasion, born in 1958, would need no introduction, but it is worth refreshing the memory for those who do not know him well.
In his luminous career, Miki won the World Rally Driver title twice, in 1988 and 1989, always with the Lancia Delta. Of the 79 world races he competed in, he won 17 of them and finished on the podium on 40 occasions.
Prominent among his triumphs are his two successes in the extremely tough Rally Safari, the same number won in Monte Carlo and the three statements at theAcropolis. In 1983 he was also italian and european champion of the specialty. Those were years when rallies were long and grueling, with many night tests and special stages contested on dirt, mud, snow, and ice. Drivers and cars had to show courage, reliability and endurance, as well as speed performance.
After rallies, Miki devoted himself to the Dakar, in which he participated with Iveco trucks and off-road Mitsubishi Pajero, but also with a Fiat Panda 4×4.
Today, among other activities, Biasion is dedicated to the restoration of Lancia Delta, which he brings to its former glory, improving its original characteristics. In short, Miki is a legend and we at Mafra are proud to have him as our ambassador.
How Amiki Miei was born
Amiki Miei was born almost by accident. "Years ago," says Biasion, "I was nostalgic for the best time in racing, so I called a few colleagues and technicians from that time to have lunch together. I found a trattoria and a two-kilometer-long road near my house, and I managed to get the route closed to traffic."
Many friends showed up with their race cars, and this allowed Miki to let people like engineers Sergio Limone and Claudio Lombardi, who had designed and built them without ever even getting a chance to ride in them, experience the thrill of a ride.
"It was a private thing, which I had not even publicized," Miki further explains, "but pictures went around and many people asked me to turn it into a public event. Thus, in 2010, Amiki Miei was born, a small gathering of racing Lancias with a parade in Bassano del Grappa."
The rally may have been "small," but among the Amiki who showed up were such champions as Markku Alen (twenty world rally wins), Juha Kankkunen (four-time world rally champion), Didier Auriol (one world rally title) and the great Sandro Munari.
Thus, the event, born by chance, became biannual and was held, from time to time, in Verona, Bassano, San Martino di Castrozza and the Vicenza area.
"At one point," Miki explains, "so many people asked me to organize it in the Northwest, to please local fans as well as those from France, Switzerland and Spain. Thirty percent of the participants are, in fact, foreigners."
From these requests came the decision to move Amiki Miei this year to Turin, where it is scheduled for Sept. 15.
"I took the opportunity of the Auto Show scheduled at that time to organize a Lancia rally that would give participants even more visibility. For reasons of space, this time we are limited to only the Deltas and 100 cars, as opposed to 160 on other occasions."
A number more than enough to warm the hearts of those who, like us at Mafra, share Miki ' s passion for this queen of rally history.
