Pandino, June 18, 2025 - The countdown has officially begun! The small Lombardy town of Pandino, in the province of Cremona, is preparing to once again become the reference point for all Fiat Panda lovers, hosting the largest gathering dedicated to this iconic Italian hatchback.
From June 20-22, 2025, the highly anticipated "Panda in Pandino" returns , the official gathering that attracts thousands of Fiat Panda cars from all over Italy and numerous European countries every year. A one-of-a-kind event, set in the picturesque setting of the Visconti Castle in Pandino, celebrating a true legend of popular Italian motoring.
Goal 2025: Break the world record
The 2025 edition aims to surpass the 1,051 Pandas gathered in 2023. In 2024, bad weather stopped the count at 1,031, but this year the organizers do not want to miss the occasion. The event, organized by thePanda Association in Pandino, in collaboration with the Soli Mai Association and under the patronage of the Municipality of Pandino, combines automotive passion and solidarity: proceeds from the event support local projects against loneliness for the over-65s.

The New 2025: MAFRA presents the #MAFRAPANDA of the Panda Raid
One of the most anticipated attractions of the 2025 gathering will undoubtedly be the #MAFRAPANDA, the incredible off-road prototype that crossed the Moroccan desert during the famous Panda Raid 2025.
"MAFRA will once again be featured at the event as the main sponsor. We certainly could not miss such an iconic event, where we will display a vehicle that has already become a legend."
But MA-FRA will not be alone: by its side will also be Team Omega, the official team that participated in the raid and hosted on board the very crew of the #MAFRAPANDA, consisting of Marco Mattioli, one of MA-FRA's owners, and his navigator Mario Pensotti.
The #MAFRAPANDA: a Masterpiece of Off-Road Engineering.
This is no ordinary Panda: the #MAFRAPANDA is a unique prototype, the result of combining the body of a Panda Van and the complete mechanics of a Suzuki SJ 413, including chassis, axles, gears and transmission.
- The wheelbase has been shortened by 22 cm to fit the original body, while the setup has been completely revised with oil/gas shock absorbers and Range Rover struts designed to provide maximum grip even on the most challenging jumps.
- At the heart of this extreme vehicle is a 160-horsepower Abarth 1400 Multijet engine, specially tuned to cope with the extreme conditions of the desert. Power can be pushed up to 230 hp, ensuring optimized torque, reliability and fuel economy.
But it doesn't end there:
- Upgraded intercooler, oversized turbine, dual-mapped ECU.
- Redesigned cooling and intake system: enlarged radiator, additional fans, and snorkel with oil bath filter to provide resistance to sand, heat, and dust.
- 90-degree tilting dashboard, lowered center of gravity, sectioned electrical system, telehandling via ECU, extra air intakes, upgraded taillights (critical in sandstorms).
- Integrated tire inflation/deflation system, pantograph jack with eight attachments, reinforced roof rack with tanks, footboards and two spare wheels.
This car is a true symbol of power, adaptive spirit and passion, enhanced by a custom livery with a samurai version of the panda logo and Abarth badge.
A Heroine of the Desert, on Exclusive Display at the Mafra Booth
You will be able to admire the #MAFRAPANDA live, exactly as it returned from the raid: still covered in sand, mud and Saharan dust, indelible signs of the tough trials it faced along the more than 3,000 km of off-road in the heart of Morocco.
This is not just an exhibition: it is a true testament to endurance, courage and the spirit of adventure. The #MAFRAPANDA has taken part in the legendary Panda Raid, a non-competitive rally reserved for Fiat Panda cars produced before 2003, which each year tests vehicles and crews on dirt tracks, dry riverbeds, sandy tracks and rocky valleys, passing through remote villages and breathtaking landscapes, between the cities of Madrid and Marrakech.
In this extreme scenario of prohibitive temperatures, analog navigation, sandstorms, and landmark-free stretches, the #MAFRAPANDA stood out as a true desert warrior: no concessions to comfort, everything is designed to tackle the impossible.
At the Mafra stand you will find it exactly as it was at the end of the last stage, with its dusty livery, signs of fatigue, raid stickers still in place and the indomitable soul of someone who never stopped at nothing.

Friday, June 20
- 6 pm: Official opening with Street Food Arena in the courtyard of the Visconti Castle.
- 9 p.m.: Live concert with The Sunny Boys.
Saturday, June 21
- 11 a.m.: 45th anniversary celebration of the Fiat Panda in Dovera (Via San Rocco).
- 2 p.m.: departure of the Panda Giro, a caravan of more than 500 Pandas on a 25-km route through the Cremasque countryside.
- 6 p.m.: opening food court.
- 9 p.m.: Live concert with the Royal Party Band.
Sunday, June 22
- 8 a.m.: Opening of the rally with Fiat Panda display throughout the day.
- 10 a.m.: show with youtubers Carmagheddon, special guests of the morning.
- During the day: official Fiat/Stellantis booth with the new Grande Panda full electric in national preview.
- 2 p.m.: official awards ceremony and final greetings.
Registration, costs and useful information
Registration opened on March 16, during the St. Joseph Fair. Early-birds were able to take advantage of the subsidized fee of €15, later raised to €18. A small contribution, with great solidarity value: all proceeds are donated to charity.
Online registration is currently closed, but you can still participate as a spectator or ask for information directly on site.
