Rally Monte Carlo 2020, Mafra's motorsport season opens with the 88th edition of this wonderful race.

Rally Monte Carlo 2020, the traditional event with which the motorsport season opens each year. Our brand will be on the cars of two Italian teams: Bernini Rally and PA Racing. 2020 will be a year full of events, and the collaboration with these two teams will see us as protagonists in all the races in which they will participate.

The ^88th edition of the 2020 Monte Carlo Rally kicks off on Thursday, February 23, and we at Mafra will be present as a sponsor of the Team Bernini Rally and of the Team PA Racing. As per tradition, the strongest rallyists in the world will compete on the roads of the Principality of Monaco, driving the official cars taking part in the WRC, the World Rally Championship.

The race, organized by theAutomobile Club of Monte-Carlo, has always been one of the most challenging trials in the world championship. Winning it means going down in motorsport history. The route is particularly challenging both because of the asphalt conditions, which change very easily, and because many of the special stages are run at night, creating quite a few visibility problems for competitors.

Team PA Racing

Enrico Brazzoli, assisted by experienced navigator Maurizio Barone, will be at the start of the 2020 Monte Carlo Rally driving a Skoda Fabia R5 of the PA Racing Team. The team from Bergamo is at the start to confirm the excellent results obtained in 2019 and to be protagonist also in 2020, starting with the first round of the year valid for the WRC3 World Championship. The tests have given good indications and the driving pair has proved immediately at ease on the car of the Czech manufacturer. 2020 will be a very important year and Alessandro Perico's team wants to start off on the right foot!

Team Bernini Racing

It will be Andrea Nucita the official driver of the Team Bernini Racing who will start the 2020 Rally Monte Carlo edition. The current RGT European Champion will take part in the Monaco race at the wheel of a Hyundai i20 New Generation R5 cared for by Michele Bernini's team. For Andrea Nucita this is the third experience on the roads of the Principality, and this year the goal is very ambitious: to make an assault on the WRC3 championship. Alongside the Sicilian driver will be Bernardo Di Caro, an experienced co-driver who may prove very useful in tackling such a complicated competition full of unknowns.

Monte Carlo Rally, a true legend

Born back in 1911, the Monte Carlo Rally has become one of the most prestigious motorsport competitions in the world. On roads in the hinterland of Nice, often snow-covered or made slippery by rain, the greatest drivers of all time have competed driving the most prestigious cars. The special road conditions and special stages at night have made the Monte Carlo Rally a true legend.

There are more than 300 kilometers of special stages this year. On Wednesday, the 22nd, the shakedown is scheduled, the time when all drivers will be able to test their cars and make the very last changes before the starting ceremony, which will be held the next day in Monaco in front of Casino Square. In the evening of Thursday, the first two special stages are scheduled, and then the race will get into full swing, with drivers competing until Sunday, January 26, to win the 2020 Monte Carlo Rally.
