PREVIEW AT THE BERGAMO HISTORIC GRAND PRIX
The Scuderia del Portello has chosen such a prestigious showcase as the Bergamo Historic Grand Prix to present an interesting dynamic preview, promoting Eugenio Mosca and Alessandro Morteo as ambassadors in the field. A more than apt decision, because the 12th edition of the Coppa Città di Bergamo re-enactment, held Sunday in Città Alta, was truly a great success, thanks to impeccable organization and dreamy vintage cars and motorcycles. Success sanctioned by the public of great occasions, which since the morning literally framed the "Circuit of the Walls" and invaded the paddock in Piazza della Cittadella to "touch" closely the protagonists.
There were indeed many noteworthy cars, as always divided into the single-seater, pre-war and GTS categories. Among the single-seaters, the two cars lined up by Monza Racing in collaboration with Scuderia del Portello Alfa Romeo, provided by brothers Alessandro and Emanuele Morteo, caught the eye: a Dallara 391/2 Formula 3 and a Formula Alfa Boxer, two of the potential protagonists of the "Formula Alfa Romeo Trophy," reserved precisely for all Alfa Romeo-powered historic single-seaters built up to 1984, which the Milanese club wants to organize for next year but which will already see an interesting prologue with a race scheduled for next September 24 in Vallelunga.
On the occasion, Eugenio Mosca and Alessandro Morteo took turns at the wheel of the two cars, offering the large audience of fans an exclusive preview of this new series that brings back to the track the many Alfa Romeo-powered single-seaters that have been stationary on the stands for too long, moreover, they have always remained clean thanks to the products of the Mafra. The new series will be officially presented in Monza on June 24 at the Peroni Racing Weekend, the context in which the races will be held. The occasion will see the renewal of the collaboration between Scuderia Monza Racing and Scuderia del Portello, which will provide Eugenio Mosca with an Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.3 Sprint Veloce, a car with which the Monza driver has already competed in the past with excellent results.
