MAFRA on the legendary roads of the Vernasca Silver Flag
June is an eventful month and ends with an important event. For the first time MAFRA is a technical sponsor of the Vernasca Silver Flag, the dynamic competition organized by the Piacentino Auto d'Epoca Club (CPAE), scheduled for June 28-30. Just for the occasion, we have created a special "MAFRA Welcome Kit," reserved for all crews registered for the event. You certainly cannot miss our large inflatable arch to indicate the starting line of Castell'Arquato, a characteristic medieval village in the province of Piacenza.
MAFRA Welcome Kit for all crews
Now in its 24th edition, this year's Vernasca Silver Flag features us as technical sponsors; a great opportunity to continue to combine the MAFRA brand with the world of classic cars and introduce all enthusiasts to our amazing products. Participants will receive a special box containing 3 products ideal for taking care of the car. Pulimax, the seat cleaner that renews colors, dissolves dirt and eliminates all bad odors. Killer, the product to remove insect and gnat residue from the bodywork and windshield. Glass Cleaner, the solution for cleaning windows, leaving no streaks.
Thanks to MAFRA products, Vernasca Silver Flag cars will always be in perfect condition!

Vernasca Silver Flag: in the sign of Fiat
The theme of the 2019 Vernasca Silver Flag is "Fiat goes racing," a tribute to the cars that have made the history of the Turin-based manufacturer. The first edition in '53 was won by Giovanni Corazza in a Fiat and then passed the baton in '54 to Giovanni Auricchio's 8V. Above all, the Vernasca Silver Flag is an opportunity to celebrate the120th anniversary of the founding of Fiat and the 70th anniversary of Abarth.
More than 200 collectors from around the world make up a traveling museum along the 9-kilometer route that until 1972 was used for the Castell Arquato-Lugagnano-Vernasca hill climb race.
All the cars on display at the Castell'Arquato Paddocks
In the 2 paddocks set up in Castell'Arquato, Lungo Arda and Piazza Europa, it is possible to admire the splendid cars up close and follow all stages of preparation. Among the models present at this edition of the Vernasca Silver Flag we would like to point out a few gems:
- Nazzaro Type 3 that in 1913 took off at the Targa Florio
- Fiat 8V
- Abarth 2400 Ellena from the FCA Museum
- Cooper formula one front engine
- Fiat 131 Abarth in group 4 setup
Along the streets of the 2019 Vernasca Silver Flag you can admire the Dallara Cetilar that crossed the finish line in 13th place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Special guest Arturo Merzario, Formula 1 driver of the legendary 1970s.
