Motorcycle Tour of Sicily 2023 Closes ASI Tricolor Circuit
The ASI Tricolor Circuit concludes with the Giro Motociclistico di Sicilia 2023, October 5-8. We at Mafra are present alongside enthusiasts as sponsors of the event and with our giveaways.
The third edition of the ASI Tricolor Circuit comes to an end with the Giro Motociclistico di Sicilia 2023, scheduled from Thursday, Oct. 5, through Sunday, Oct. 8.
This is the second event in this cycle of ASI events organized on the island, following the Tour of Sicily - The Sicily of the Florios in May.
The event, now in its fifth edition, reenacts the Moto Giro di Sicilia that took place in the 1950. At the time it was a regularity race, contested in three stages over a 1,000-kilometer route that touched the main Sicilian localities. Today the Giro Motociclistico di Sicilia, reborn after more than seventy years at the initiative of fourteen Asi federated clubs, runs on over 500 kilometers Of roads.
Motorcycle Tour of Sicily 2023: four intense days
Crews are scheduled to depart Thursday, Oct. 5, from Piazza Giuseppe Verdi in Palermo; the route then heads to Corleone. Santo Stefano di Quisquina, Villabate, Bolognetta and Marineo are the first locations crossed by the participants; Agrigento is scheduled for the first stop.
On Friday, Oct. 6, competitors face the first time trials at the Gela go-kart track before continuing on to Caltagirone. After lunch in San Michele di Ganzaria, a visit to the Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina and an overnight stay in Pergusa are scheduled.
Sperlinga's Norman Castle constitutes the first event on Saturday, Oct. 7, a day that concludes in Cefalù after passing through Castelbuono.
On Sunday, Oct. 8, after the award ceremonies in Trabia preceded by a visit to the Floriopoli racetrack park, the event concludes with a catwalk in Termini Imerese.
As always, we are close to the participants, with the large Mafra inflatable arch and the giveaway of badge holders and caps.
