Mafra's debut at the Clean India Show 2024 was full of satisfaction: registered a great interest of professionals in the Indian market for Mafra's innovative solutions and Made in Italy quality.
India is a gigantic country, with more than 1.4 billion people, and equally huge is its need for service products of all kinds, starting with detergent products.
We at Mafra have been present in India since 2016, and our first goal was to create and consolidate our presence in the automotive market, particularly in car washing and car detailing. In India, in fact, the vehicle fleet is huge, so much so that the total number of registered vehicles now exceeds 326 million and in 2023 alone 4.2 million cars were sold.
This means that there is a strong demand in India for car care products and car wash facilities that provide thorough and durable cleaning, carried out with technologically advanced and sustainable tools and products. With our presence in India, we have been able to meet this demand, capturing a market that still has significant growth prospects.
But now the time has come for us at Mafra to do even more, broadening our perspectives.
And that's why for the first time Mafra was present at the Clean India Show 2024, the largest trade show related to the cleaning market in India, which was held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai (the actual name of the Indian city) from November 21 to 23.

Mafra's success at the Clean India Show 2024
Our debut at the Clean India Show 2024 was a real success. Throughout the event, we showed a highly qualified audience of industry professionals our expertise and Made in Italy excellence.
"What really paid off for me," Marco Mattioli further emphasizes, "was the decision to establish a production base in India: when managers of municipal companies and visitors discovered that our know-how originates in Italy and is integrated with production in our manufacturing plant in India, I saw smiles appear on their faces. This interest is confirmation of an intuition that leads us today to look forward to the future with confidence."
Hotels, cleaning companies, means of transportation, restaurants, kitchens, waste collection and transportation companies and many other companies make up the target market for Mafra's professional detergent ranges, offered with the winning "Italian formula, European standard, India production" approach .
Mafra's Italian research, which meets European quality requirements, integrates perfectly with production in our Indian plant, which is located about 300 kilometers from Mumbai.
