MaFra sponsors the LogisticaUno Rally Cup by Michelin trophy

Mafra is increasingly present in events dedicated to Rally cars. This year we will be sponsors of the newly created LogisticaUno Rally Cup by Michelin, the new trophy combined with the Italian WRC Championship, dedicated to the powerful and exclusive cars from the World Rally Championship that use Michelin tires. Mafra bows will be present at the start and finish of the special stages of all races, starting with the one to be held in Salento May 21-22.

The 54th Elba Rally opened the season of the Italian WRC Championship organized by ACI Sport. This was the occasion for the debut of the trophy LogisticaUno Rally Cup by Michelin. The new trophy, combined with the CIWRC will have important prize money up for grabs depending on the category of the car with which the driver will win it: €30,000 if the car used is of the WRC category, while it will rise to €38,000 if won with a less powerful R5 car . Significant sums, which will also be cumulative with AciSport 's prize money for the winner of the Italian WRC Championship, thus raising the winnings to €45,000 and €53,000, respectively . Of course, the new trophy includes the exclusive use of Michelin tires.

Starting with the Salento Rally on June 21 and 22, Mafra will be a sponsor of the trophy by providing its well-known inflatable arches. It will be the Mafra arches that will indicate the starting and finishing lines of the various trials.

LogisticaUno Rally Cup by Michelin will feature technicians from the Clermont Ferrand-based company, ready to give useful advice on the proper use of tires. Thanks to the combination with the Italian WRC Championship, the trophy will see the participation of the best national drivers driving the same cars that take part in the World Championship, and all the tests will take place on tracks that have made rally history in Italy.

The 2021 season

There are 7 races to award the first LogisticsUno Rally Cup by Michelin. The first trial was run on April 16 and 17 on the challenging roads of Elba and saw the victory of Joseph Head, flanked by Giulia Zanchetta, driving a Skoda Fabia EVO. The next event will be held in the beautiful setting of Salento, May 21 and 22 will be the turn of the 53rd Salento Rally. This is the complete schedule for the 2021 season:
