How to clean the interior of your RV with Mafra
We have come to the third chapter dedicated to cleaning the camper. With Valeria and Matteo from 5 in Camper we will see how to clean the interior. From the cockpit to the living quarters, Mafra offers solutions for every type of surface.
After taking care of the RV exterior with tutorials dedicated to the problem of black stripes and the decontamination of exterior surfaces, for Valeria and Matthew of 5 in Camper it is time to take care of the interior with a thorough cleaning of both the driver's cabin and the living quarters. Let's find out with them how to go about cleaning the interior properly.
A few practical tips for cleaning RV interiors
- Before starting to clean the interior of the RV, it is important to vacuum all surfaces thoroughly, removing the coarsest dirt, thus preventing stains or halos from forming when using the products.
- If you must spray a product take care to do so at a distance of about 20 cm, even spraying some on a microfiber cloth so that it spreads more evenly.
- Use a second microfiber cloth or the clean side of the previously used cloth to remove excess product.

The tools needed
As with cleaning the exterior, it is also important to use the correct tools, especially cleaning cloths, when cleaning the interior of the RV:
microfiber cloth with high wear resistance, ideal both for spreading the product and for the surface drying phase. Its microfibers provide excellent performance in the cleaning phase and are incredibly soft, durable, and with great absorbency. Thanks to these characteristics Heavy Work is able to work deeply by removing dirt molecules, making it ideal for interior cleaning.
Synthetic chamois cloth which, thanks to its high absorption capacity, ensures perfect drying without leaving halos. Martina extracts and captures loose dirt from the product used and simultaneously rinses the surface, thus avoiding leaving surfactant residue. Wet the cloth with warm water before use and rinse it, again with warm water, after cleaning is finished.
The cleanliness of the cockpit
Traveling with the cockpit of one's motorhome well groomed and perfumed is certainly more pleasant.
Mafra offers several cleaning solutions starting with. Deterjet, universal degreaser ideal for deep cleaning all washable surfaces. Valeria and Matteo used it to wash the cab top with the help of the Martina cloth. Sprayed directly on the cabin sky, it was then sufficient to wipe the Martina cloth with linear movements to remove any residue. In a short time the cabin sky was clean as new leaving a nice scent.

After the sky it was the turn of the plastics, and to clean these surfaces our bloggers relied on 3-in-1 Plastics Treatment, a product that can clean, brighten and protect any plastic surface. Spray the product on the surface first and then sprinkle some on the cloth Heavy Work so that it spreads evenly and effortlessly. Wipe it over all plastic surfaces such as door panels, dashboard, pillars and steering wheel levers. In addition to cleaning the surfaces, the product also provides a UV protection, preventing aging, restoring shine and releasing a pleasant fragrance into the interior.

Then if you also have leather parts on the RV then you can use 3-in-1 Skin Treatment To be sprayed directly onto large surfaces such as seats. Or spray on Heavy Work cloth to wipe over smaller surfaces such as the steering wheel or shift knob. Then use a clean, dry cloth to finish the surface and remove any excess product. 3-in-1 Skin Treatment does more than just clean, thanks to its formulation based on Aloe Vera and natural waxes, provides preventive action against the formation of wrinkles and cracks, protecting the skin from aging.
The cleanliness of the housing cell
After taking care of the driver's cabin, Valeria and Matteo moved on to the living quarters of their motorhome where the surfaces to be washed are much larger. They start with fabric parts, such as sofas and upholstery, and for these surfaces the ideal product is 3in1 Fabric Treatment, the same one our bloggers used for cleaning the driver's seats.
Spray it on the surface to be treated and then wipe with a microfiber cloth or soft-bristled brush, taking care to always act in linear, never circular motions. Then wipe with a damp cloth to rinse. The fabric will not only be clean, but thanks to the action of the active foam, it will be perfectly stain-free and look as good as new again. If there are particularly obvious stains or attached substances on the fabric, such as chocolate chips, remove them before wiping so as to avoid spreading them all over the surface.

For cleaning most of the interior of the living quarters, such as the table the wood, the glass, the TV screen, the inside of the refrigerator and many other surfaces there is Split A truly versatile product. Multi-surface cleaner, Split does not contain ammonia and thus can be used without any problems on any material: glass, steel, wood and any plastic part including the polycarbonate. Nebulized on the surface, it is then sufficient to wipe with the microfiber cloth and then use a second clean cloth to remove excess product. The living cell will then be perfectly clean and also pervaded with a pleasant fragrance.

Clean cloths
After cleaning the interior of the RV, it is important to take care of the cloths used for this operation.
To clean the Martina cloth, simply use warm water, taking care to rinse it well, wring it out and let it dry.
For cleaning the microfiber cloths, however, it is important to use a specific product that can regenerate the fibers without ruining them. Microfiber Wash is the specific cleaner, ideal for maintaining the functionality of fibers for a long time without leaving any residue on the surface. Microfiber Wash is extremely concentrated and you can use it in the washing machine at 30°. You only need 15 ml of product per kg of load and no fabric softener should be added. If the cloth is particularly dirty, pour 50 ml of product in 1 lt of water and leave it for 30-40 minutes and then rinse.
With these tips from Valeria and Matteo, the interior of your RV will be cleaned to perfection--but that's not all!
