Remove black stripes from your RV: Pulicamper takes care of it
Valeria and Matteo, the 5inCamper bloggers, after the challenging unboxing, have all the Mafra products on hand to begin their 5-part miniseries of video tutorials on RV cleaning.
The first installment is dedicated to a very common problem: how to remove black lines from the RV. Thanks to Pulicamper, this operation is very simple and the result really surprising.
Valeria and Matteo from 5inCamper have recently finished their unboxing largest, a good 30 pounds of Mafra RV cleaning products! Here, then, the two bloggers are ready to show us with their video tutorials how to take care of the RV. A miniseries of 5 episodes in which Valeria and Matteo will show us how to have the RV always clean and tidy. It starts with a true classic: removing black lines from the RV.
What are the black stripes?
Black stripes are a problem that sooner or later any camper must face.
This is a phenomenon caused mainly by the deposits of dirt and smog that remain anchored to the surface of the RV's roof, which is almost completely flat and without slopes. With time and weathering, all the impurities slowly drain onto the vertical surfaces, creating an unsightly effect that makes our RV look neglected and much older.

Mafra's Pulicamper
Pulicamper is Mafra's cleaner that is particularly effective in removing unsightly black streaks and glazing from RVs. The product is ideal for hand washing fiberglass RVs and those with aluminum parts.
For proper use of the product, which is available in a 2-liter format, it is important to follow the directions of Mafra's technical department:
- Strictly observe the dilution and application time;
- Never work under direct sunlight exposure;
- Do not treat surfaces overheated by sunlight or mechanical parts;
- Always rinse thoroughly after use.

How to wash your motorhome with Pulicamper
To wash the camper, Valeria and Matteo equipped themselves with everything they needed:
- Water barrel;
- Bucket;
- Dispenser for measuring water;
- Brush;
- Glove Double Face;
- Condom Wash, microfiber brush sock;
- Scale;
... and of course a packet of Pulicamper!
Dilute the product
The first thing to do is to dilute the product. It is very important to do it following the directions on the label: 1/10 is the perfect dilution for an optimal result, without being too aggressive on the treated surfaces.
5inCamper's advice: proceed with small amounts of water. This way, you will be able to replace the solution whenever it becomes too dirty.

Roof washing
As Valeria and Matteo show in the video, to clean larger surfaces, it is always a good idea to apply the Condom Wash protective sock to the mop, so that the microfiber part will act, thus avoiding scratching the RV. For an even more thorough job, we also recommend using the Double Face microfiber mitt, thanks to which you can reach even the least accessible areas. Just like Valeria and Mattero do in the video!
The first part to wash is the roof, to prevent water from pooling. Valeria and Matthew's advice is to keep the RV on a slope, perhaps with the help of leveling wedges.

Clean the entire surface and proceed with rinsing
Once you have cleaned the roof, you can proceed evenly on the vertical surfaces. Finally, rinse everything thoroughly, never allowing the product to dry on the surface.

A truly excellent result!
As you will see from the video, the end result is absolutely excellent. It only took one pass to make the RV shine like new again. Only in some places a second pass was necessary, but in the end no more black lines!

Washing your motorhome and removing black lines with Pulicamper is not only useful for proper maintenance of your vehicle, but also to make it more attractive if you have to put it up for sale or to take away doubts when you are buying a used one.
