Our sponsorship of Team Bernini Rally continues this year, a partnership that also extends to the cars with which we participate in vintage races.
Founded in 2003, Team Bernini Rally has been participating in the most important rally competitions for almost two decades, not only in Italy but throughout Europe. Last year it took part in the Abarth Rally Cup Trophy, which was won by Andrea Nucita driving theAbarth 124 Rally with the Mafra logo on display.
This year we are still alongside Michele Bernini's team. At the disposal of its drivers are 4 Hyundai i20 R5 and Abarth 124 Rally cars. The cars will line up at the start of the2020 Abarth Rally Cup as reigning champions! Team Bernini's mission has always been to provide young drivers with cars that are prepared to allow them to express their full potential. We at Mafra are very proud to collaborate with a team like Michele's, sharing the same passion for sports competition.
An unfortunate Monte Carlo
The season began with the Monte Carlo Rally, one of the most prestigious races in the WRC world championship. Team Bernini was present with a respectable crew, consisting of Andrea Nucita and his navigator Bernardo di Carlo. The goal was to participate as protagonists in one of the most difficult races in the entire world championship. Unfortunately, bad luck befell the Team Bernini crew, who suffered a broken wheel during the first day of the race. This accident severely penalized Nucita, forcing him to retire, despite his excellent performance during the second day of the race. On the part of Team Bernini there was much satisfaction with the performance of the car, confirming the excellent work done to deal with a race in which the asphalt conditions change abruptly.

Team Bernini's sponsorship also includes the supply of our products, both car cleaning and professional products. Among the products most appreciated by the Team's mechanics is. HP12. Our collaboration with Team Bernini also extends to our passion for regularity races dedicated to classic cars. As you know, we at Mafra participate in many races with our vintage cars, the 1973 124 Abarth Rally and the 1974 Alfa Romeo Gt Veloce. It was precisely the Alfa Romeo that was prepared by Team Bernini mechanics to be able to tackle the very difficult special stages of the Monte Carlo Historique Rally, in which our General Manager Marco Mattioli participated again this year. The work done by the mechanics focused on the set-up of the car, improving its performance in terms of road holding, allowing it to perform well in many special stages.

A car with more than 30 years of history it is normal that it may have some problems with road holding.
