Mafra at Auto and Moto d'Epoca in Bologna: all the best for historic vehicle enthusiasts

The great event for historic vehicles Auto e Moto d'Epoca moves from this year to the pavilions of the Bologna Fair, from October 26 to 29. At the Mafra booth lots of products dedicated to Car Care and, as a guest of honor, one of Miki Biasion's special Lancia Delta Evo, the queen of rallies reviewed by the two-time world champion, a Mafra Brand Ambassador.

For the first time Auto e Moto d'Epoca, the largest event in the historic vehicle sector, is being held at the Bologna Fairgrounds instead of Padua. The choice was dictated by a desire to expand the area allocated to exhibitors and to take advantage of the Emilian city's excellent connections with all of Europe.

Collectibles meet again in Bologna

From October 26 to 29, the world of collectibles will meet in the exhibition spaces of the Bologna Fair, which offer 11 pavilions and 235,000 square meters. There are many new features at this edition of Auto e Moto d'Epoca, starting with the presence of the world's most important museums, such as the Mauto of Turin which is celebrating 90 years. Mauto itself is exhibiting eight prestigious cars, such as an F1 Ferrari 312 T5, a 1935 Monaco-Trossi and a 1929 Lancia Lambda Weymann . Also present for the first time are several foreign museums such as Autoworld Brussels, the French national museum in Mulhouse and the British one in Beaulieu.

Hall 32 is dedicated to the Motor Valley of Emilia-Romagna with all its excellences, four racetracks, stables, private collections and rallies. There are many automakers who, with their official presence, want to emphasize the ties with their heritage. Thus one can visit the stands of Alpine, Bentley, BMW Motorrad, Carrozzeria Touring, FCA Stellantis Heritage, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Volvo. The International Touring Superleggera Registry displays rare pieces such as the 195 LM Coupé Superleggera, one of the very first Ferraris, and the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Turinga. The Registro Italiano Alfa Romeo instead celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Giulia Coupé, born in 1963 and designed by a very young Giorgetto Giugiaro.

Classic cars and motorcycles, a weekend of passion

Auto e Moto d'epoca in Bologna also constitutes a meeting point for all lovers of historic vehicles, thanks to the spaces reserved for clubs, registers and stables.

La Scuderia San Martino and the San Martino in Rio Museum, for example, are exhibiting two cars that are more than 100 years old. In Hall 25, christened ASI Village, theAutomotoclub Storico Italiano presents an exhibition christened "Italian Pride," featuring dozens of vehicles made in Italy. Other new features include the Piazzetta Lancia, dedicated to the Lancia brand, the newly formed Porsche Cayenne Club and celebrations for Autodelta's 70th anniversary.

Also unprecedented is the pavilion entirely dedicated to two-wheelers, which offers fans an area of 15,000 square meters. Prominent in this area are the presence of Honda, with the Lucio Cecchinello Racing Team, and the celebration of 100 years of the BMW Motorrad brand .

ASI and ACI Storico, in addition to exhibiting four-wheel jewels, are also offering a rich calendar of meetings and talks with prominent figures.

Not to be overlooked at all is the Classic market of Auto e Moto d'Epoca, with the largest presence of professional operators from all over Europe. Prominent among the cars for sale is an OM 665 Superba, a model famous because it won the first Mille Miglia with Morandi and Minoia in 1927.

Alongside the car market, Bologna offers the continent's largest availability of parts for historic two- and four-wheeled vehicles. A central area of the fairgrounds, called the Mall, is dedicated to companies specializing in care, restoration and services for collectors' cars. However, vintage designer clothes, accessories, watches, motoring art and handcrafted creations can also be found at the show.

At a must-attend event for enthusiasts such as Auto e Moto d'Epoca in Bologna, Mafra is certainly not to be missed, in Hall 30, stand A70-B73.

Guest of honor at the booth, one of the Lancia Delta Evo by Miki Biasion, the queen of rallies revised by the two-time world champion of the specialty. In fact, Miki Biasion, who is a Mafra Brand Ambassador, has also been dedicating himself for the past few years to the improved restoration of road-going examples of the famous Lancias.

In the Italia Motor Sport atelier in Codroipo (UD), Miki improves the Delta Integrale Evo, reinforcing its structure and boosting its power from 220 to 340 hp. The power boost is achieved simply by pressing a button that transforms the character of the car's original turbocharged 4-cylinder by also acting on the electronics. The Delta's gearbox and suspension are also upgraded to make them adequate for the significant increase in performance and power. The bodywork livery echoes the iconic Martini graphics that characterized the Lancias that won six Manufacturers' titles in the World Rally Championship.

Also starring at the Mafra booth at Vintage Cars and Motorcycles is noted collector Corrado Lopresto, also our Brand Ambassador. In Bologna, Corrado Lopresto presents and offers his new book. Lopresto's collection includes more than 150 Italian cars, most of them one-offs, prototypes, one-offs and belonging to special series.
