Auto e Moto d'Epoca Padova 2018: MAFRA testimonial of the show

From October 25 to 28, in Padua, detailers from the #Labocosmetica team will perform live in a show not to be missed!

It was 1983 when, for the first time, the Auto e Moto d'Epoca show in Padua managed to involve the enthusiasm of many collectors. About 1,000 cars were exhibited in that historic edition, but the kermesse still appeared to be an event designed only for experts in the field. As the years went by, things changed, interest in this initiative grew exponentially, so much so that it also involved many young people. Today, the numbers still speak: in 2017, there were more than 5,000 cars on display and 115,000 visitors from all over the world.

MAFRA and the Padua classic car and motorcycle show

Could we miss Europe's largest market dedicated to collectors and enthusiasts? Of course not! MAFRA with its booth and demonstrations of polishing and soft detailing will try to entertain you during an event that promises to be unforgettable. Visitors will be able to see car-detailers from the #Labocosmetica team at work and ask them about the products and how best to use them. And there will also be space for the latest innovations we presented at theAutomechanika in Frankfurt, the most important international trade fair dedicated to the world of car repair and car care.

From Germany a review of pre-World War II BMWs, while from faraway Lithuania will come precious Mercedes Pagoda and Jaguar E-type models. Of course, the best Italian dealers will also be protagonists, including G. & T. Auto, Ruote da Sogno, Gruppo Promotor and AutoClass. Great novelty of the 2018 edition is the presence of the American Shelby, creator of the Cobra and Daytona Cobra that, in the Granturismo competitions of the 1960s, contended for the podium with the Ferrari 250 GTO.

Not only classic cars and motorcycles

In the approximately 90,000 square meters of exhibition space, in addition to the many vintage cars and motorcycles on display, visitors will be able to admire many other attractions. Beginning with Instant Classic, recent or very recent cars that, due to their special characteristics, are already to be considered collector's items and, in the future, of certain historical interest. There is no shortage of spare parts for vintage cars and automobilia, such as old license plates, booklets from the last century, dashboards, odometers, distributors, bolts, rims, signs and much more... A market full of products, where you can find real rarities to buy. In Padua, model car enthusiasts can also satisfy their cravings. Rare historical pieces and more or less expensive reproductions of models of all ages can be found at the fair, from the much sought-after tin models to the latest die-cast ones.

A look at the future of the car

The edition of Classic Cars and Motorcycles also looks to the future with major manufacturers presenting the latest cars and trends that we will see on our roads in a few years. With Future Hub, the Padua Motor Show will aim to create a virtual bridge between the past and the future:people will touch the evolutions in the world of motors, with futuristic models presented by big brands such as Porsche, Smart, Volvo, Volkswagen, Tesla and Pagani. A space in which to discover today the technologies of tomorrow!

On Saturday (Oct. 27) the appointment with Bonhams Auction House will also be renewed. In 2017, cars worth around 3,000,000 euros were auctioned, led by the 1957 Mercedes 300 SL Roadster, which sold for 897,000 euros. This year the goal will be to grow again, and to mark the occasion, an extremely rare Jaguar belonging to 1960s diva Anita Ekberg, the stunning star of La Dolce Vita, the film masterpiece directed by Federico Fellini, is being auctioned off.
