From July 12 to 14, San Pellegrino Terme will host the nineteenth edition of the Concorso d'Eleganza for classic cars and motorcycles, entered in the calendar of the ASI Circuito Tricolore, of which Mafra supports all the events
San Pellegrino Terme, a town in the Brembana Valley (BG) known for the healing properties of its waters, from July 12 to 14 welcomes participants to the 19th edition of the Concorso d'Eleganza for vintage cars and motorcycles.. The event, organized by the Club Orobico Auto Moto d'Epoca, is part of the calendar of theASI Circuito Tricolore, whose events are all supported by Mafra.
Participation is by invitation and is reserved for cars and motorcycles produced up to the 1940s, to which special categories are added to celebrate certain anniversaries.
MG, the Morris Garage manufacturer of legendary spiders, whose brand name is now used by the Chinese SAIC group, turns a century old this year .
But 2024 also marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of the Mercedes 300 SL, the German coupe known for its "gull-wing" doors.
Another category is reserved for six-, eight-, and 12-cylinder cars produced up to the 1970s. Special prizes are provided for all these classes.
The event is allowed to be attended by About 50 cars and as many motorcycles, the latter built by the 1940, considered the golden age of pioneering motorcycling.

Three intense days
The San Pellegrino Terme Concorso d'Eleganza begins on Friday, July 12, with a 9 a.m. gathering of the motorcycles participating in the Orobic Pre-Alps tour.
Overnight accommodations are provided for competitors at a hotel in Selvino, a resort town in the Seriana Valley at 960 meters above sea level.
On Saturday, July 13, at 2 p.m., the cars take the stage, gathering and being displayed on the lawn of the 18th-century Villa Gromo in Mapello, one of the most beautiful residences in the Bergamo area.
The motorcycles, on the other hand, are scheduled to return to San Pellegrino Terme, again after they have been displayed in their turn at Villa Gromo.
Beginning at 3 p.m., it is also possible for all enthusiasts to display their vehicles at Villa Gromo to participate in the Fuori Concorso, enjoying the open bar and hoping to win the prize up for the most significant vehicle.
From 9 p.m., also at Villa Gromo in Mapello, a dinner for Concorso d'Eleganza entrants is scheduled.
OnSunday, July 14, participants, with cars and motorcycles, gather at 10 a.m. in San Pellegrino Terme, on Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII, where all the vehicles participating in the Concorso are displayed.
A presentation of the Classical and Accessible project by ASI Solidarity, with which theASI intends to facilitate the participation of disabled enthusiasts in motorsport events.
At 1 p.m., after the final lunch, the awards ceremony of the Contest is scheduled.
