The Etna Raid blows out twenty candles. An important milestone, which the organizers of the Sicilian event intend to celebrate with an edition in some ways a bit special. The format that has decreed its success remains unchanged, with the right mix between the spirit of competition and aggregation through ample space dedicated to the tourist aspect, but there will be even greater attention to both the route and the places to visit and the sites where the gala lunches and dinners will be held. The Raid Dell'Etna will start, on Sunday, September 24, from Viale della Libertà in Palermo. The competitors will find themselves covering more than 1,000 kilometers, stuffed with 50 time trials, going to discover the most exclusive noble residences but also lesser-known places on the island. The itinerary will follow the coasts of western Sicily and then move to the Etnean side, touching on the Bosco della Ficuzza Oriented Nature Reserve, Marina di Butera, Ragusa Ibla, Donnafugata, Piazza Armerina, Enna, with a stop at the Pergusa racetrack where the time trial valid for the awarding of the "Ability MAFRA" trophy will be held, Mount Etna, Taormina, with arrival in Catania, in University Square, on Saturday, Sept. 30. MAFRA will not limit itself, if one can say so, to the role of sponsor of the Sicilian event, offering all competitors a "welcome kit" that among others will include the quick detailer "Fast Cleaner" that will keep the cars clean and shiny after each stage, but will be "active" within it thanks to the presence of its very passionate owner, Marco Mattioli, at the wheel of a splendid Alfa Romeo 2600 Touring. Proof that MAFRA's staff is composed of people driven first and foremost by passion in the research and production of products dedicated to the care of their cars.
