Mafra, a leading detergent and car care company, is participating for the first time in the WinteRace, the Classic Regularity Race for historic cars held in the Cortina d'Ampezzo setting. The Mattioli brothers, owners of MA-FRA, present at the start of the 2018 WinteRace with this occasion, continuing the company's commitment to promoting the culture of care and maintenance of classic cars, with a focus on detailing, the innovative discipline that can restore cars to their original splendor.
In addition to fielding two cult sports cars from the 1970s, such as the 1973 Fiat 124 Abarth Rally and the 1974 Alfa Romeo Gt Veloce, piloted by MA-FRA owners Marco and Massimiliano Mattioli, the company is also present as a Platinum Sponsor, honoring all crews with a special "Mafra Pre-Race Kit," consisting of two specific products for cleaning and protecting the car's underbody during the race and a windshield washer liquid specifically for the harsh climate of the race.
The powerful and safe multipurpose degreaser HP12 is particularly suitable for removing the most stubborn dirt and for degreasing and thoroughly cleaning the underbody; a product that, thanks to its active formula, acts in depth without damaging delicate components such as gaskets and rubber guards.
After using the degreaser and rinsing the treated part, Mafra offers the following Lubrigraph, a specific product to protect the underbody from the corrosive action of salt spread on the roads to prevent icing and from the crushed stone lifted by the wheels: its "rubbery" composition does not harden, thus bouncing back the crushed stone that could damage the chassis, the inside of fenders, etc. This treatment forms a protective layer on the plates and lubricates the metal and rubber parts, protecting them for a long time.
Finally, the "Mafra pre-race kit" contains the following. Cristalbel Artic, the ideal windshield wiper fluid for the low temperatures that competitors will face during the race. Dilutable within the windshield wiper fluid tray, this product, when used pure, can withstand temperatures as low as -70°.
