From Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26, Sardinia takes center stage in the world of classic cars with the 17th edition of the Sardinian Gentlemen's Cup. Mafra is present at the event with its Inflatable Arch and a welcome kit offered to participants.
From Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26, Sardinia celebrates the combination of the beauty of the area and that of the historic cars participating in the Sardinian Gentlemen's Cup. The event is part of the calendar of theASI Circuito Tricolore, a series of events that allow participants to discover the jewels of Italy on board vintage cars. The Cup is organized by theAutomoto d'Epoca Sardegna Association: we of Mafra are present with our unmistakable Inflatable Arch and welcome kit.

Three days of passion
Prestigious cars from all eras, from the monumental Bentleys of the 1920s to the Ferraris of the new millennium, are participating in the Sardinian Gentlemen's Cup 2024. There is no shortage of particularly fine examples, such as the 1927 Ansaldo, the 1930 Itala and a rare 1935 Riley. The route is about 300 kilometers long and, starting from Tortolì, touches Arbatax, Muravera, Castiadas and Cagliari.
The program begins on Friday, May 24, with the display of the cars along Monsignor Virgilio Avenue in Tortolì: an opportunity to admire them up close, also offered to students from schools in the area.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the crews parade through the streets of downtown before displaying the cars again on Monsignor Virgilio Avenue. This is an opportunity for the public to cast their votes to designate the car they think is the most beautiful among the more than fifty participants. The day ends at the hotel with dinner and a folklore show.
At 9 a.m. Saturday, May 25, the first car is scheduled to start from Viale Monsignor Virgilio in Tortolì. in the province of Nuoro. Immediately afterwards, competitors begin to face several skill tests in the industrial area of Baccasara Street.
At 9:45 a.m., participants are offered the chance to admire the creeks of theOgliastra coast and visit the nuragic complex S'Ortali 'e su monti..
In the area there are different types of buildings from the nuraghi era, from stone towers to menhirs, from Giants' tombs to granaries.
The oldest evidence dates back to the 4th and 3rd millennia B.C.E., while the Nuragic monuments were made between the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age (16th-9th centuries B.C.E.). After lunch, crews return to the hotel to attend the gala dinner.
On Sunday, May 26, the cars leave the hotel at 8:30 a.m.; at 10:30 a.m. crew members can visit the Sanna Sulis Museum in Muravera. This museum is dedicated to women's entrepreneurship and to the memory of Francesca Sanna Sulis, an entrepreneur from the 1700s who was able to make fine fabrics from silkworm processing.
At 12 noon, in the locality of Olia Speciosa, the drivers face the third and fourth groups of skill tests. After lunch at the 'S'acqua callenti agriturismo in Castiadas, the cars head to Cagliari, where, starting at 5:30 p.m., the awards ceremony is held.
