Mafra sponsors the Attilio Bettega Cup 2023
Mafra at the Attilio Bettega Cup 2023 as a sponsor of the event: once again this year our typical inflatable arch is present along the race route, marking the arrivals and departures of the various trials. For all crews a special Mafra Welcome Kit designed for the occasion.
From Friday, February 17 until Sunday, February 19, the Attilio Bettega Cup 2023. The event designed to remember one of the most talented Italian drivers who was a protagonist of rally racing in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Mafra is a sponsor of the Attilio Bettega Cup 2023 with its large inflatable arch to indicate the starts of the main trials and a special Welcome Kit given away to all event participants.
Known as the "Italian Monte Carlo," the Attilio Bettega Cup is a very challenging race. Much of the course, in fact, takes place on snowy and often even icy roads. It is not an easy race, and for those who run, fun is assured: pendulums, traverses and spectacular drifts are the natural ingredients of this very challenging test that is run along the roads that have seen Attilio Bettega perform during his career.
The Attilio Bettega Cup is not a rally but an average regularity race. The difficulties are not few, to accompany the crews for eleven hours, testing their driving skills and the robustness of the vehicles, with snow making it even more exciting.
Along the 380 kilometers, designed by Ivo Strappazzon president of Rally Club 70, between the provinces of Vicenza, Trento and Belluno, competitors will be measured by the hairpin bends of the Valstagna-Foza test, carved into the rock-not coincidentally called the university of rallying-but also by the climb of the Brocon Pass, the pitfalls of Arina and Celado, the pitfalls of the "Morello" (Grigno) and the Redebus Pass, and the tormented roads of the Mocheni Valley.
Attilio Bettega Cup 2023, a path through history
The route of the Attilio Bettega Cup 2023 is a return to the past, on the roads that saw the strongest drivers of world rallying compete in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.
The eighth edition of the Attilio Bettega Cup traces classic routes such as the San Martino di Castrozza, the Liège-Sofia-Liège, and the Prealpi Venete. Severe routes, requiring skill with the steering wheel, sensitivity with the accelerator, dexterity with the radar. Drivers of the caliber of Munari, Kallstrom, Pinto, Darniche, up to Rohrl and Andruet have competed on these roads.
The route of the Attilio Bettega Cup 2023
On Friday, February17, 2023, the cars will meet at the Hotel Glamour in Cassola (VI), on the outskirts of Bassano del Grappa, for sports scrutineering.
The race is divided into 2 stages. The start of the first stage is scheduled at 14:00 on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the entrance of the famous Ponte degli Alpini in Bassano. The conclusion after 190 kilometers in front of the Ice Rink Pine' in Baselga di Pinè (TN), where drivers and navigators can refresh and recover from fatigue.
The start of the second stage is scheduled for 8:15 p.m., again from the Baselga di Pinè Ice Stadium, with arrival, after another 190 kilometers, in Valstagna (VI) in the middle of the night on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023.
The awards ceremony for the Attilio Bettega Cup 2023 takes place on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., in the convention hall of Cassola 's Hotel Glamour. A special moment, celebrating Attilio Bettega, on the day he would have turned 70. Present will be Aci Vicenza top management, Alessandro Bettega, son of the unforgettable Attilio, as well as representatives of Sponsors, including us at Mafra.
