How to use car cleaning products on motorcycles and scooters as well:
With the arrival of warm weather, the urge to jump on the bike and go for a few rides with friends grows. Most likely, after a long period of inactivity, your beloved 2-wheeler needs some attention, to be clean and shiny. Because this much is certain, you can't show up riding a dirty bike! Did you know that many of the products you use to care for your car are perfect for motorcycles and scooters? Here are the main products you can use for both your car and for motorcycles and scooters.
The days are finally starting to warm up and the urge to use your motorcycle or scooter is getting stronger. But you can't show up to your first outing with friends with your 2-wheeler dirty! If you're already used to using Mafra products to clean your car, you probably already have everything you need to make your motorcycle or scooter shine, too.
Did you know. Many of our products created for car care are also perfect for motorcycles and scooters. The key thing to remember, for cleaning the motorcycle as well as the car, is to avoid working in the sun and make sure the surfaces are cool. If you then need to use water as well, then it is best to go to a wash center equipped with the proper facilities that can collect water and not pollute the environment!
Fairings and tanks
Many of the products normally used for washing cars can also be used to clean motorcycle or scooter fairings and tanks.
Before washing your two-wheeler, our advice is to use a product such as HP12, a powerful universal degreaser capable of Remove even the most stubborn dirt. How to use: spray the product directly onto the surface to be treated and leave it on for about 30 seconds. Then, using a microfiber cloth, remove dirt from the entire surface. Finally, with a clean microfiber cloth remove excess product. Thanks to HP12, you will have removed the most stubborn dirt in no time. It is then time to proceed with washing.
Washing phase
There are 2 ways to wash the bike: dry or with water and shampoo.
Dry
To dry clean all parts of your motorcycle or scooter you can use Fast Cleaner, a product that can instantly remove any dirt or stain. Fast Cleaner is an absolutely safe product that does not go to ruin fairings, tanks and fenders and is not aggressive on motorcycle graphics. Thanks to its special silicone-free formula, Fast Cleaner brings dirt into suspension so that it is easier to remove, leaving no halos.
It will be sufficient to spray the product on the part to be treated at a distance of about 20cm, and then wipe with a microfiber cloth to remove the product and thus also the dirt. Using Fast Cleaner assures you a triple effect:
- Anti-rain, rain will slide off your two-wheeler without leaving a trace;
- Anti-dirty, creates a thin layer that prevents dirt and dust from taking root;
- Anti-fingerprint, prevents unsightly fingerprints on the bike.
With Shampoo
If you want to do an even more thorough job and give your bike a super treatment, a good shampoo wash is the way to go!
Even with two-wheelers, the double bucket method is foolproof: you dilute the shampoo in one bucket while using the second to rinse the cloth or sponge. This way, you'll prevent dirt residue from mixing with the shampoo and risking scratching surfaces.
For a proficient wash, there are two products that can also be used to wash motorcycles and scooters:
