Lubricating the motorcycle chain is a constant necessity for every motorcyclist. Regularly cleaning and greasing the chain allows you to extend its life over time, without running the risk of having to change it frequently, facing unexpected costs and inconvenience.
Practical Tips for lubricating the motorcycle chain
Regardless of what kind of product you choose we at MA-FRA always like to give a little advice on "best practices" to use.
First of all, when applying grease, it is necessary to keep the engine off at all times by manually sliding the chain. It may seem trivial, but in this way burns and abrasions are avoided.
To grease the motorcycle chain, if we use a spray product, it is also advisable to keep the vehicle off for a few hours before using it. In this way, the lubricant will be evenly deposited on the chain and the excess dose can be easily removed, avoiding soiling wheels and rims.
Regarding the frequency of application, it is a good idea to grease regularly to keep the transmission system running smoothly. For road travelers we recommend lubricating the motorcycle chain about every 500 km.
The Motorcycle Chain Spray Grease
MA-FRA offers two specific products to lubricate the motorcycle chain, depending on whether the vehicle is used on the road or track.
CHAINROAD is the ideal product for road motorcycles, it is applied by spraying the product through a spray can, its red color allows dosing the quantities for a more correct maintenance of the vehicle. It is an innovative chain grease that does not stain the rim, boots or pants and can be used on chains with or without o-rings.
CHAINRACE, on the other hand, is an exclusive chain grease dedicated to the racetrack: in fact, this product takes advantage of the FRG patent that allows the lubricant to flow out of the bottle in a liquid state, and then immediately convert to a gel capable of anchoring tenaciously. A real leap into the future in terms of quality.
