Panda record in Pandino
More than 900 Pandas from all over the world gathered in Pandino, in the province of cremona, for the 2022 edition of the "Panda in Pandino" rally. Mafra was featured in the event as a sponsor and with its inflatable arches.
A total of 939 Pandas gathered in Pandino, in the province of Cremona, on Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, for the 2022 edition of the "Panda in Pandino".
After 3 years, collectors of the legendary hatchback met in Pandino (CR) to celebrate this car that has become, by now a true myth. Pandists from more than 20 countries arrived to celebrate the Italian city car designed by Giugiaro and now a stunning over-40.
Panda in Pandino: the program
The cars that arrived on Saturday, about 350 in number, performed a long parade on the roads of Cremona and then met in the town of Palazzo Pignano.
On Sunday another 600 Pandas joined the group by gathering in the center of Pandino in the area in front of the Visconti Castle. Here enthusiasts and curious onlookers were able to admire these legendary cars, and the traditional awards ceremony was held. It could not miss the award to the "best preserved" Panda, as well as the "mosttamarra," the "most trivial," and the "most elaborate 4×4." Not forgetting the "Panda Antonio Narducci" award, in memory of a young Panda driver from Foggiano.
Mafra participated in the event as a sponsor and by providing its ever-present inflatable arches.
Pandas of all kinds
"Panda in Pandino" is an event born on social media that now involves collectors from all over the world. This year as many as 192 cars from the first edition in the 1980s, 365 from the second series in the early 2000s and 695 from the third edition, the one in 2019, arrived. All kinds of cars were present at the event, including numerous 4×4s and even the model dedicated to the Italia 90 World Cup, with its ball-shaped wheel covers. There was also no shortage of examples that participated in the last edition of the Sahara Racing Cup.

An event for charity
All proceeds from the event will be administered by thePanda Association in Pandino and will be donated to charity to support the activities of numerous voluntary associations operating in the Cremona area, with the aim of supporting them in restarting in the aftermath of the pandemic.
Organizers have set a date for the 2023 edition with the goal of achieving a new record and celebrating the Panda, the car that "if it did not exist would have to be invented" as the advertisement of the 1980s!
