At the Genoa Boat Show, MA-FRA unveiled major formulation upgrades for even better cleaning results and brand-new products, all of which are already available on the market
Genoa, September 21-26, 2017 - MA-FRA, a leading company in the detergent industry, presented itself at the 57th edition of the Genoa Boat Show - the historic event that last year was attended by 127,000 visitors and 36 countries - with interesting news related to its wide range of solutions for the cleaning and maintenance of various types of boats.
MA-FRA, highlights of 2017
The MA-FRA range has been implemented with specific formulations revamped with the latest generation of polymers and protectants for even more effective treatments, as well as entirely new products. The MA-FRA trend is to use nanotechnology in the nautical field as well. Among the products that have been modified with the addition of new protectants, polymers and nanotec technology is Shelly, an effective cleaner specifically for neoprene and Hypalon inflatable boats. Dinghy, on the other hand, is a cleaner indicated for all types of sails (carbon, nylon, dacron...), also tested by Andrea Pendibene, an athlete present on the starting line of the 2017 MiniTransat, a regatta in which he also participated in 2007, 2011 and 2015. Caravel, completely new, is a PH-neutral shampoo for frequent washing suitable for cleaning fiberglass boats and inflatable boats of any kind: it does not affect colors and, of course, neither does the surfaces; its effectiveness is corroborated by the presence of special protective vegetable waxes. Sealy, first in Aerosol, is now also available in trigger spray so it can be added with the new protective DPDs: ideal for polishing and protecting the dinghy in a single operation.
All products are already available on the market, and the website www.boatpassion.com features new video tutorials, excellent tools to better understand the correct use of each innovative MA-FRA cleaning and maintenance solution .
Long-term boating experience
MA-FRA is a company that also specializes in the nautical sector, with an extensive line and a rich catalog of products expressly dedicated to all types of cleaning, cleaning and maintenance treatments for fiberglass boats, inflatable boats (inflatables) made of Hypalon, neoprene and PVC, iron or wooden hulls. Each formulation has complete safety data sheets in the 17 points required by European and world regulations. In addition, MA-FRA holds all quality certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Specific additives and protectants, such as those for UVA rays, salt spray and salt spray, are included within each product in the MA-FRA range. Each solution is not multi-purpose, but expressly dedicated to the individual operation to be performed, such as steel cleaning, polish polishing of hulls, cleaning for dead or living bulwarks and works, cleaning for rubber tubulars, cleaning and maintenance oil for TEC surfaces, treatments for cushions, whether they are made of sky or PVC, synthetic or natural fabric. Plus: products for the maintenance and cleaning of inboard, inboard-outboard and outboard engines.
MA-FRA's "Premiere" at the 2017 MiniTransat Regatta.
MA-FRA will be the first private company to sponsor a special boat, the Navy's Pegaso ITA 883 piloted solo by athlete Andrea Pendibene, at the 2017 MiniTransat, one of the world's most famous regattas and also the most difficult for a sailor. The competition starts on October 1, 2017 in the waters of La Rochelle, France, and ends in the Caribbean, more precisely in Le Marin, Martinique.
Thanks also to the contribution that MA-FRA offers with its specific products related to cleaning and maintenance, top priority is given to checking the reliability and robustness of sails, equipment, electronics and much more. Precisely nothing can be left to chance in a transatlantic solo regatta on boats of only 6.50 meters that will have to deal with more than 4,000 nautical miles in complete autonomy without even a charting gps, let alone other communication systems, with the exception of the vhf with a range of 20 miles. On the starting line will be 84 solo sailors from fifteen countries who will have to contend mainly with themselves to reach the finish line.
