The Maniac Line range is enriched with a new product that is ideal for mineral contaminations such as limescale that builds up on bodywork: Descale Foam Shampoo. Its acidic pH formulation removes limescale contamination, restoring paint's shine.
Keeping one's car clean is not only a matter of aesthetics, but also of long-term care and maintenance. One of the main enemies of bodywork is limescale, a substance that can build up on the surface of the vehicle, leaving unsightly halos and stains. In addition to compromising the shiny appearance of paint, limescale can, over time, cause permanent damage.
That's why in order to remove limescale from car bodywork, it is essential to use a specific product such as the new Descale Foam Shampoo, the anti-scale shampoo from the Maniac Line designed specifically to remove limescale residue effectively and safely, providing your car with long-lasting protection and a flawless look.
Descale Foam Shampoo is Maniac Line 's latest innovation to solve the problem of limescale that forms on the bodywork either due to weathering or after improper washing or drying. In fact, after a sandy rain or snowfall on the bodywork, mineral deposits, such as limescale, can form that may not be easy to remove.
With the effective action of Descale Foam Shampoo, you can restore paint's shine. This 2-in-1 acidic, descaling shampoo removes limescale contamination that dulls bodywork, while also helping to maintain the effectiveness of sealants and nanotechnology coatings that were previously applied.
How to get rid of limescale with Descale Foam Shampoo
To remove limescale with Descale Foam Shampoo use a foam gun or hand sprayer such as Nebula Foam 2.0.
The foam gun generates a dense foam that can evenly cover the entire bodywork. To work with the foam gun, the product should be diluted 1:5 for heavy soiling and 1:10 for lighter soiling or in maintenance wash.
Nebula Foam 2.0 creates a lighter foam, but is just as effective at removing limescale from bodywork. The recommended dilution with Nebula Foam 2.0 is 1 capful of product in 1 liter of water, and the nozzle to use is the orange one supplied with the sprayer.
Before dispensing Descale Foam Shampoo anti-scale, it is important to always perform a prewash using Neutral Foam Shampoo on normal dirt or Foam Gun PreWash in the case of cars with stubborn dirt. In fact, by prewashing, coarse dirt is removed and scale removal is more effective.
The Pillow Foam technique for removing limescale
To remove limescale easily from your car while working in complete safety, the advice is to use the Pillow Foam Technique. This technique involves covering the surface of the car with an even layer of highly lubricated foam, creating a natural "cushion" and thus limiting the possibility of scratching the surface of the car body to a minimum.
The foam, which can be created using a Foam Gun or Nebula Foam 2.0, not only lifts and removes dirt, but also creates a protective barrier between the glove and the bodywork, making hand washing safer.
The washing phase
After covering the body with foam, it is time for the washing step. Without rinsing off the foam, dilute it in the bucket Wash3 to 5 mugs of Descale Foam Shampoo in 5 liters of water and then proceed with a regular car wash using the microfiber glove Double Face or, alternatively, a pad also made of microfiber such as the Comfort Car Wash Pad.
In case you need to increase the lubrication of the foam, simply add 1 or 2 caps of Descale Foam Shampoo in the Wash bucket. This makes washing safer, minimizing the risk of creating scratches or abrasions on the bodywork. For more difficult dirt, such as that caused by sandy rain, the advice is to add 3 caps for even more effective cleaning action.
At the end of the washing step, always rinse with plenty of water and then proceed to dry with the microfiber cloth Super Dryer. Its high absorbency ensures better performance in terms of gliding and handling.
Some useful tips for removing limescale
Car washing should always be done in the shade and never on hot surfaces. This prevents the product from drying too quickly, making the wash less effective.
If a lot of limescale has settled on your car, washing should be done as soon as possible to prevent the dirt from stratifying and being more difficult to remove.
You can also use Descale Foam Shampoo for rim maintenance! Just dilute it 1:10 and, after cleaning the rim with Wheel & Tyre Cleaner, spray the Descale Foam Shampoo and leave it on for a few seconds, then rinse and dry thoroughly. To reach the most difficult parts of the rim, use a soft-bristled brush.
To clean the underside of the car, dilute Descale Foam Shampoo 1:10 and spray it on the surface; then, leave it on for a few seconds and proceed with the Pillow Foam Technique before rinsing with water.
Removal of localized and persistent limestone stains
If mineral contamination is still present after washing with Descale Foam Shampoo, we recommend targeted treatment with Water Spot Mineral Remover, which is ideal for removing localized and persistent stains of limestone and other mineral residues.
Thanks to its advanced formula, Water Spot effectively dissolves even the most stubborn deposits without damaging bodywork, glass or chrome surfaces. For best use, apply the product directly to the area to be treated and leave it on for 30-60 seconds. Use a soft-bristled brush (file) to promote mechanical action and allow deeper penetration.
Next, rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean microfiber cloth. In case of particularly tenacious stains, repeat the operation, preventing the product from drying on the surface.
