Gnats and resin, how to remove them with Mafra products!
During the warmer season, there are two problems that can damage the car body: midges and resin. That's why it's important to remove them quickly from the bodywork to avoid even serious damage. Here's how to remove midges and resin from the bodywork with Mafra tips.
If you have been using your car during the summer vacation you surely have windshield and the whole front part of the body dotted with gnats and insects. Definitely not a pleasant sight but above all a possible problem that needs to be solved as soon as possible! These residues have a very aggressive chemical composition, so if not promptly removed, they can create problems to the surface of the bodywork, dulling the paint and even going so far as to corrode the metal.
Another typical summer problem is tree resin that settles on the car. Over time, the resin tends to harden, so it becomes difficult to remove it without ruining the car's paint.
Gnats, bugs and resin are typical summer problems. Here's how to remove gnats and resin from your car with Mafra products, thus preventing unpleasant damage and problems of all kinds.
Killer and gnats disappear in an instant
When driving long distances on highways or expressways in the summer, hundreds of gnats and insects literally crash into our car. Those that go to smear the windshield are not only unsightly but also risk creating a security issue, preventing optimal visibility. Especially when traveling at night or against the light, gnats and insects splattered on the windshield create quite a few visibility problems. Often it is not enough to just use the wiper to remove them; in fact, it may make the situation worse.

Let's dispel some false myths
Browsing the net, one can find several suggestions on more or less effective methods of removing resin from the car.
Dish detergent, degreaser, acetone and detergent water, alcohol, white spirit or naphtha are just some of the ploys used. Also noteworthy is the use of olive oil, good perhaps for salad dressing but certainly not effective on resin!
Of course, it is absolutely not recommended to use sandpaper or abrasive sponges, with which you may be able to remove the resin but there is an almost certain chance of damaging the bodywork and creating micro-scratches.
