Torphy is Mafra's bilge and engine compartment cleaning solution. Torphy works against grease, oil, and fuel residue that settles in the bilge pump compartment during navigation.
Available in the bottle of 750ml or in the 4500ml, Torphy acts energetically, thanks to its special emulsifying power, on dirt, grease, and fuel residue, all Without damaging the plastic and aluminum parts!

How to use Torphy to clean bilge and engine compartment
Apply the product
Apply Torphy locally depending on the dirt present. The product can be used pure or diluted with water depending on what is in the engine room.
Allow the product to act
Allow the productto act until the dirt has emulsified.
Performing a mechanical action
Carry out a mechanical action with a sponge or brush.
Rinse
Rinse the treated surface thoroughly.

- 1st tip: The longer the product is in contact with dirt, the easier the cleaning step becomes 😊
- 2nd tip: to reach the most hidden places inside the bilge, help yourself with a mop with soft bristles
- 3rd tip: If oil is present all along the bilge, the advice is to dilute the product 1:1 with water (even sea water) and pour a bucket of it into the engine room, literally letting it "decant" even for more than a day. By taking advantage of the normal movement of the boat, the cleaner will be able to wash even the vertical bulkheads, without having to do so much work!
Much more than a traditional degreaser!
Some might think that Torphy performs the same action as a traditional degreaser. The advantage is that Torphy acts even on the most delicate materials, such as aluminum and plastics. This is precisely why you can use it to clean any engine component without fear of unpleasant side effects!
Oil and fuel spills in the bilge: no problem with Torphy!
Torphy is also ideal in case of oil/fuel spillage in the engine room when the boat is in the water. In this case, however, the wash water will have to be absorbed into a tank and disposed of separately, as it cannot be spilled into the sea!
With the boat in storage, you can take preventive action by pouring a bucket with water and Torphy into the bilge before doing oil changes and coupons. This way any spills will not create surface damage.
