Headlight Polishing Kit
  • Restores the original transparency of the headlights
  • Composed of two exclusive formulations and 16 abrasive papers

From the 1990s onward, car manufacturers began making headlight caps from polycarbonate, which is cheaper and lighter, more resistant to impact, and above all can give designers more creative possibilities. But polycarbonate suffers from UV rays, tending to yellow and dull. Mafra's Kit Regénera Fari allows you to restore the original transparency of headlights and improve the effectiveness of lights in a simple way, guaranteeing professional results The Kit Regénera Fari consists of: Headlight Polisher Headlight Sealant 16 abrasive papers in 3 levels of extra fine abrasiveness, 1500, 2500 and 400 Polyurethane polishing support for restoring dull headlights.

Recommendations:
- Work on cool surface and not directly exposed to sunlight.
- Before the sanding step, properly shape the perimeter of the headlight with a car body tape paying special attention to the inner edges and any seals.
- If, after applying polishing polish, the headlight is still dull, repeat the sanding step.
- During the last step, apply the sealant until an even film is obtained, allow to dry thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Multiple coats of the sealant can be applied.

Mode of use:

  • Clean headlights with 1Shine Vetri Cleaner: use 1Shine Vetri and Glass Cleaner, removing any debris that might scratch the surface during sanding operations. Next, protect the area to be treated: protect the paint on the hood and fenders from any scratches. We do this by using masking tape and carefully contouring the perimeter of the headlight.
  • Sanding: start with the most abrasive paper, the 1500 paper, begin sanding: the surface should be damp, then use glass cleaner to keep the surface well lubricated. Work with longitudinal (never circular) movements if possible parallel to the curvature of the lighthouse. Continue sanding, pimote the coarsest defects, dry and veri?cate the homogeneity of the surface. Switch to the intermediate 2500 grit, still wet, and sand, with opposite movements than before to better remove the marks of the previous passes. Dry again and switch to the more ?ne 4000 grit paper.
  • Apply headlight polish with 1Shine Exterior, spread the polish in circular motions, exerting a fair amount of pressure, and then remove any excess with a cloth. Repeat the polishing operation ?until a clear, uniform surface is obtained. Apply car headlight sealant; without a proper sealant, the headlights would turn dull and yellow in no time. Clean the car headlight with Glass Cleaner and apply the sealant with the Heavy Work microfiber cloth, trying to obtain an even coat, spreading it in longitudinal movements. Let it dry thoroughly and repeat if necessary.
